Florence May Walker

Florence "Mookie" Walker was born February 27, 1934 in Holly Hill, SC. She was the daughter of the late Jehu Fogle, Sr. and Mymie Pelzer Fogle. She entered into eternal rest on November 17, 2021 following a brief illness.
Florence was married to the late James Walker, Sr. and from their union three children were born. Before her health failed she enjoyed cooking and sewing. In her spare time she enjoyed listening to gospel music, watching the news, watching ALL cooking shows and spending time with family.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband James Walker, Sr.; her parents the late Jehu Fogle, Sr. and Mymie Pelzer Fogle, her siblings James "Bill" Fogle, Lou Ella Fogle, Robert Fogle, Allen "L.J. Fogle, Stella Hammond, Ollie Mae Fogle, Jehu Fogle, Jr. and Helen Haynes.
Florence leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Benzenia Walker (caregiver) of Rock Hill, SC and Flora Fogle of Lexington, SC; three sons,John Walker of Gaston, SC, James Walker, Jr. of Columbia, SC and Samuel Fogle of Lexington, SC; seven grandchildren, Keshaunna (Lionel) Duckson, Chareka (Ramon) Nieto, Lakeshia Reed, Candace Green, Zackery Walker, James Christopher Walker and Samuel J. U. Fogle; nine great-grandchildren, Deonte, Jaden, Jalen, Thalia, Makenzie, Megan, KayLee, Aamir and Lieman; brother, Samuel Fogle of Orangeburg, SC, sisters, Rosa Lee Collier of Mims, FL, Gloria Dendy of Bronx, NY and Jessie Lee (Robert) Simmons of Titusville, FL; special friend and caregiver Fran Boyd and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 23,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home from 12:00pm-7:00pm.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Glover's Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
