Effie Mae Dingle Obituary

Effie Mae Dingle was born on October 7,1960 to Janie Lee Bowman and Henry Dingle Sr. A native of Branchville South Carolina.Effie graduated from Branchville High School in 1979.
Her professional experience includes positions at The Methodist Oaks and TRMC hospital. Additionally, she has worked at CornerStone Church in Orangeburg South Carolina, where she gave food boxes and served the community.
She was a member of Mays Chapel United Methodist Church in Branchville, South Carolina and Bethel AME Church in St. George, South Carolina. She served as a member of the Usher board.
She enjoyed reading books, watching In the Heat of the Night, Little House on the Prairie, game shows, Tyler Perry movies, and having family time.
Effie Mae Dingle was an extraordinary individual who left a lasting impression on many. Her presence was unmistakable whether entering a building, a house or attending an event. She had a warm and caring demeanor, often initiating conversations with "Hey, how are you doing?" and following up with "Baby, are you okay?" Those who knew her appreciated her generosity, love and much needed conversations. Before eating, she would always offer a prayer.
Family was paramount to her. The grandchildren always came first in her book. She took great pleasure in traveling, reading books, celebrating birthdays and bonding with her children and grandchildren, Her distinctive laugh made the room lit up. If you heard that laugh, it was clear that something was truly funny. Effie will be missed by so many family and friends. She will forever live on in our hearts.
She is survived by her two devoted daughters Shaneka Dingle (future son in law JacQuan Walker) and Tyesha Dingle-Fields (son in law Ranaldo Fields), Three cherished grandchildren Shanya Davis, Bryce Murphy and King Fields. Her life partner George Stokes, One brother Henry Dingle (sister in law Joanie Murray- Dingle); Two sisters Cassandra Goldsmith and Marion Simpson; the son she never had Reverend R. Davin (LuVantae) Gordon, Jr, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives.


The service will proceed as follows: 


The viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 25,2025 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 6:00pm. 


The funeral will be held on Thursday, June 26,2025 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 12:00noon. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
