Edward Rivers Obituary
Mr. Edward “Bread” Rivers, son of the late Mr. Johnny and Mrs. Margaret Cleckley Rivers was born on April 7, 1955 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He departed this life on November 5, 2021 at his residence.
He attended Edisto High School and attended Canaan United Methodist Church in Cope, South Carolina. He was a member of the Canaan Male Chorus and was known for signing “Two Wings”.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, seven brothers, and two sisters.
Cherishing his memories are two sisters; Mrs. Margaret R. Simpson, and Ms. Connie Rivers, both of Cordova, SC; one brother, Mr. Marion Rivers of Brooklyn, NY; one aunt; Mrs. Anna Rivers of Orangeburg, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Friday,November 12,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home from 12:00pm until 7:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Saturday,November 13,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 pm. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
