Earnest "Slim" Felder was born June 14, 1944, to the late Frank and Alice Green Felder. He entered into eternal rest on August 30, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center, after a brief illness.
He was educated at Bethune Memorial High School. He was employed as a forklift driver at Stone Forest Products and Kiser Lumber Construction. After retirement, he worked with Haynes Construction. He loved his dogs, Daisy and Zeno. He loved fishing and driving his Ford Rangers. He was a faithful member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
He was married to the late Alice E. Felder. To this union, one daughter was born.
Earnest was preceded in death by a brother, James A. Felder; two sisters, Carolyn and Louetta Felder and a great- granddaughter, Harmony B. Keitt.
His memories will be cherished by his loving daughters, Deborah (Joseph) Allison and Trisher Felder, Titusville, FL; two step-sons, Tony Mack, Bowman, SC and Anthony Mack, Gaston, SC; five grandchildren, Raundric Keitt, Nykita Allison, Trisstan, Tha'Laya, and Trinity Felder; two great-grandchildren, Roman and Adaliene Keitt; three sisters, Ezel Green, Cape May Courthouse, NJ, Vernell Gamble and Clara Johnson, both of Bowman, SC; three brothers, Samuel Felder, Bowman, SC, Daniel (Ruthie) Felder, Bowman, SC, and Franklin (Lorine) Felder, Chapel Hill, NC; two sisters-in-law, Betty Lou and Thelma Mack, both of Bowman, SC; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Mack, Bowman, SC and Benjamin (Dora) Mack, Orangeburg, SC; two uncles, John (Doris) Green, Bronx, NY and James (Sarah) Green, Bowman, SC; a special great-niece, Zy'Navea Felder; two special great-nephews, Seven Curry and Byron Felder; three close friends/riding partners, Arthur Dantzler, Raymond Pelzer and Leroy Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Friday, September 5,2025 at Glover's Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 6:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 6,2025 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 707 Arista Rd. Bowman, SC 29018 beginning at 2:00pm.
