Evangelist Deloris Sumpter Delaine “Susie”, daughter of the late Gladys Sumpter, was born on May 6, 1955 in Cope, South Carolina. She entered into eternal rest on April 3, 2021 at The Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia, South Carolina.
Evangelist Deloris Sumpter Delaine was affectionately known as “Susie” or “Chick”.
Susie became a member of Good Hope AME Church at an early age. She attended Edisto High School and graduated in the year of 1974.
Susie moved to Orlando, Florida in the 1980’s. After moving there is when she came into the true knowledge of Jesus Christ and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior. She had a passion and love for people and she worked as a caregiver for many years.
Susie was later in life called to pastor and she was the Pastor and Founder of Lovest Thou Me, Feed My Sheep Church, which was founded upon the scripture, St. John 21:15-17. She evangelized and preached the Word of God wherever she was led and has touched so many lives with her wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
Susie was preceded in death by her mother; one brother, James Benjamin; grandparents, Fordam (Rebecca) Sumpter; and a special aunt, Dorothy Sumpter Polite.
Evangelist Deloris Sumpter Delaine “Susie” will be deeply and lovingly missed, but her memories will always be cherished by her brother, Matthew “Son” “Dinkey” (Louella) Cleckley of Orangeburg, South Carolina; special cousins reared in the same home: John A. Polite, Daniel L. Polite, and Andreal (Joe) Snell, all of Orangeburg, South Carolina; a step-daughter, Tameka (Tyrone) Cox of Deltona, Florida; two step-grandchildren: Leilani and Tyson Cox of Deltona, Florida; three goddaughters: Shawn, Jennifer, and Daneka Hair, all of Orlando, Florida; a special childhood friend, Kathleen Bonaparte of Orangeburg, South Carolina; a friend and ministry partner, Evangelist Susan McClinton of Orlando, Florida; a young man she loved and mentored, Minister Shamar A. Frazier of Cope, South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and other relatives.

The viewing will be held on Thursday, April 8,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home at 2:00pm until 7:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Friday, April 9,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am.
