Delores Summers

Ms. Delores Summers, daughter of the late Robert Summers and Annabell Smith Summers was born March 10, 1946, in Orangeburg County, SC. Delores was one of six siblings. She departed this life on June 11, 2021.
As a young lady Delores married Reggie Lewis and from this union one son, Kevin, was born.
Delores was raised in a Christian home, accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a long-time member of New Covenant United Methodist Church, Bowman, SC. She graduated from Bethune Memorial High School in 1964. Delores was a faithful member of New Covenant, serving as president of the usher board, and door greeter for many years.
Preceding her in death was her sister, Dorothy Whack.
Delores was a loving, dedicated and devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves to cherish her beloved precious memories: her son, Kevin (Lakekia) Lewis; two grandchildren: Kevin Jr. and Areyana; two brothers: Willie Summers of New York City, and Joseph (Sylvia) Summers of Hanahan, SC; one sister, Maella Walker of Philadelphia, PA; one brother-in-law, Melvin Whack of Goose Creek, SC; goddaughter, Tameka Cummings along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She also leaves two special friends Ethel Fogel and Bernell Cummings.

The viewing will be held on Thursday, June 17,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 7:00pm.

The funeral will be held on Friday, June 18,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
