Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson, was born to Corrine Anderson (later known as Corrine Dempsey) and James Anderson in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 14, 1923. Their union pro-duced two children, Elizabeth and Margaret. The girls were raised with their sister-in-love, Annie Carol Shivers.
As a spirited youth, Elizabeth attended St. Paul Baptist Church in Orangeburg, South Carolina under Reverend William M. Bowman, later to become a member in June 1945. While residing in New York, Elizabeth was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church under Reverend Tony Chaneyfield.
In 1947 Elizabeth married Hampton Miller, Jr. From that union they produced four children, Hampton, Ernest, Sandra and Linda. Always a provider, Elizabeth moved to Brooklyn, New York in pursuit of greater economic stability to support her family in Orangeburg. In New York, Elizabeth worked as a presser and did domestic work.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Linda Shuler; grandchil-dren: Tremayne Miller, Tony Miller, Shannon Lyn (Ian Lyn), Tremonisha Davis, (Will Davis) and Sandra Miller (Rolando Ifill); great-grandchildren: Toni Miller, Sayvon Miller, Nia Lyn, Evan Miller, Natalie Lyn, Jayden Ifill, Raquan Ifill and Josiah Davis and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
