Clifford Salley, Sr.

Brother Clifford Salley, Sr. was born August 2,1933 in Orangeburg County. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifford E.(Everline Romey) Salley. He quietly entered into enternal rest on Wednesday, February 12,2020 at the home.

At an early age he join the U.S. Army, serve in the Korea War, met and married the late Catherine Carson Salley. To this union five kids was born. He retired from Trransportation Department of "DOT" where he was a Forman. After retirement he performed various jobs. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine Carson Salley, sister Carie Ann Salley, sisters and brothers-in-laws.

He leaves to cherish his loving and fo nd memories: one daughter: Sharon Salley, four sons: Darrin(Verna), Joesph(Ethel), Clifford(Angela), Robert(Beverly) all of Orangeburg,SC; he helped raised all his grandchildren: Montez(Nakyia) of Richmond Hills,GA; Daria Salley, Derrick Carson both of Orangeburg,SC; Joseph(Betsy), Tracey(Melissa) of Ft.Lauderdale,FL; Keisha(Kelvin), Tiesha(Andre) both of Columbia,SC; Eric, Deon, Monika, Demarious all of Orangeburg,SC; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchildren; two sister-in-laws: Luerine Mitchell of Oranegburg,SC and Rosenell Lawton of Columbia,SC; one brother-in-law: Ivory Minning of Newark,NJ; two aunts: Dorothy Boyd and Sara Romey and one aunt-in-law: Jessie Mae Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and families. 

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 19,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home at 1:00pm until 8:00pm.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 20,2020 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church 1401 Birch Dr. Oranegebrug,SC beginning at 12:00pm.
