A virtuous woman of God that shared wisdom to others who conquered many obstacles but never lost her faith. Missionary Claydelle Elmore made a transition from mortality to immortality on October 14, 2022 and now resting in the arms of the Lord. Claydelle Elmore was born on November 4, 1944 in Orangeburg County. She was born to Clay Emmett White and Lizzie Fogle White.
Claydelle Elmore was joined in holy matrimony to the late Fred Elmore, Jr. on August 25, 1963 and to the union five children were born. At an early age Claydelle joined Bowman Temple COGIC in Bowman SC. While a member Claydelle served as a missionary, pastors aide committee, choir member, and kitchen committee.
She leaves to cherish her memories to one daughter Rhoda Elmore Huff of Albany, GA; four sons Mark (Jacqueline) Elmore, Kelvin Elmore both of Orangeburg SC, Carl Elmore of Auburn, WA and Jeffrey Elmore of Charlotte, NC. Special relatives Dionne Elmore of Columbia, SC, Hattie Mae Gaines of Bowman, SC and Melanie Elmore of Atlanta, GA, 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
Five sisters; Ruby Dantzler of Milledgeville Ga, Hennie Gilmore of Orangeburg, Louise Dantzler of Atlanta Ga. and Sharon White of Lake Worth, FL. and Theresa (Otis) Boyd of Bowman, SC. Four step-sisters Kathy Patterson and Judy Aiken of Bowman, SC, Valarie Jennings of Waldorf, MD and Sandra Ray of Walterboro, SC. Special friends Missionary Mary Jenkins, Lady Beverly Ross and a host of nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Saturday, October 22,2022 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm-7:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, October 23,2022 at Bowman Temple Church of God 315 Bowman Ave. Bowman, SC 29018 beginning at 12:30pm. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
