Clark Franchot Williams, Sr, was born on April 15, 1936, to Mr. Moease and Mrs. Elease Glover Williams. Clark was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County and graduated from Elloree Training School in Elloree, South Carolina. He later received a certificate in Brick Masonary from Denmark Technical College 1959 in Denmark South Carolina.
At an early age he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was a faithful member of Shiloh AME Church in Elloree, SC until he married and relocated to New York City.
Franchot as he was affectionally known, spent all of his adult working profession in the state of New York City. There he would begin his professional career with his wife Evelita by his side. Clark worked at Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) as a Lineman of Construction, where various well-known designers attended school such as Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, and film director Joel Schumaker. Clark also had a Lifetime career with Local #1 New York Bricklayers, until he retired after his career begin in 1959. There he was known as an innovative leader and he rose through the ranks quickly to the position of Shop Steward and then promoted to Forman. In this position he was responsible for hiring and supervising numerous workers. During his tenure he helped build many facilities and famous landmarks in New York City. He was a Master Craftsman when it comes to Brick Masonary.
Clark was very devoted to his family and friends, and they meant everything to him. He believed in helping others within his family and community. On May 21, 1960, he married Evelita Gregg Williams and they were happily married for 51 years. To this union they were blessed with two sons, Clark Franchot Jr. and Tony Mario.
He later married Angela Solomon-Williams on February 10, 2017. He shared two children with Angela; Amber K. Geohaghan and Ronald Geohaghan Jr.
Clark was proceeded in death by his parents and brother James Henry Williams and son Tony Mario Williams. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife Angela Solomon-Williams of the home and sons, Clark Franchot Jr. (Cindy) of Bronx, New York; Clark Franchot Henry of Oakley California (Jesusima); daughter Joan Gomes, Newport News Virginia, daughter Amber K. Geohaghan, of Orangeburg, South Carolina and son Ronald B. Geohaghan Jr. of Orangeburg SC. Also, a special son the Honorable Dr. Judge Derrick Dash. His sister Roslyn Hudnell of Greenville, South Carolina Brothers Anthony (Carolyn) Williams of Irmo, South Carolina; Moease (Joyce) Williams of Orangeburg, South Carolina; three sister- in -laws Wendy Solomon McCabe of Florence,SC ,Betty Williams of Charlotte, North Carolina and Fredrita Gregg Durant of Neptune, New Jersey and one brother in law Marvin Solomon (Wanza) of Miami Florida. One aunt Calpernia Solomon Nixon of Florence, New Jersey. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

The viewing will be held on Thursday, December 5,2024 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 6:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Friday, December 6,2024 at Williams Chapel AME Church beginning at 12:00noon. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
