Clark Gable Wade,Sr.,son of the late Arthur and Rosa Bell Wade was born in Norway,SC on June16,1941.He departed this life on Friday,September 4th,2020 at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg,S.C. from health complications.
Clark was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Pearley Wade, ArthurWadeJr, ClarenceWade, MatthewWade, and WilmerWade.
He attended Northfield High School in Norway,S.C., and was employed by Greenwood Motor Lines and Zeus of Orangeburg.
A God-fearing man,Clark’s passion was inspiring others and singing the gospel since a very early age and throughout all of his adult life. He was a faithful member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Norway S.C. where he served as President of the Gospel Choir and a member of the Male Chorus. For decades and outside of church, Clark sung gospel music with the Traveling airs of Orangeburg and the Harmonizing 6 of St.Matthews within the community and traveled along the eastern sea board as far as Philadelphia,PA.
Clark leaves behind to cherish his memories his beloved sister, Rosa Lee (James) Stroman, of Orangeburg, Isadore (Annie) Wade of St. Matthews, Cary (Ethel Mae) Wade, Sr. of Cordova; his children, Clark Wade Jr. of Germany, Sharon (Donald) Stokes of Orangeburg, Anthony (Marie) Wade of Cope, Cynthia (Harold) Harris, of Virginia, Verna Little, of N. Carolina, Wayne Wade, of Florida, Shayla Wade and Adria Wade of Columbia, and Demetrius Thomas. Clark has fifteen loving grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The viewing will be held on Friday, September 11,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home at 1:00pm until 7:00pm.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 12,2020 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 149 Baptist Church Rd. Norway,SC 29113 beginning at 11:00am.
