Clarence L. Brandyburg

Clarence Lewis Brandyburg, the first of four children was born in Orangeburg County, Bowman South Carolina to the late Jason Brandyburg and Rachel McDaniel Brandyburg. Clarence lived most of his life in the Bowman area until he was called to eternal rest on Monday, October 19, 2020.

Clarence’s education extended from the Bowman Rosenwald School, which was one of several African American schools that served the local children in Orangeburg County.

Clarence grew up in the Pineville Community of Bowman, SC and was raised up in Pineville United Methodist Church. He loved his children and enjoyed working to Glorify God. He was an active and devoted member of the United Methodist Men, the Male Chorus, Pineville Gospel Choir, the Board of Trustees and a Class Leader.

Clarence was a Master Brick Mason, a Master Craftsman, and Farmer and enjoyed seeing the art of his work. He was grateful for the bounty of God’s gift to him through success in Family, Business and Friends. Manifestation of this gratitude was made through his community consciousness and willingness to help others.

Clarence was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife Rosa Claire Brandyburg; and one son, Clarence Benjamin Brandyburg.

Teresa (Robert) Randolph, Raleigh, NC; his adorable grandchildren, Coby Brandyburg, Orangeburg, SC, Justin (Crystal) Willard, Alexandria, VA; Kisha Brandyburg, Columbia, SC, Jamar Randolph, Raleigh, NC, Jerry Randolph, Raleigh, NC, Jakobi Randolph, Raleigh, NC; great-grandchildren, Emery Xu Willard, Alexandria, VA, Olive Claire Willard, Alexandria, VA; one sister, Mrs. Ojetta B. Clark, Orangeburg, SC; one sister-in-law, Florence Brandyburg, Charolotte, NC and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The service will proceed as follow:

The viewing will be held on Thursday,October 22,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home at 1:00pm until 7:00pm. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday,October 23,2020 at Pineville United Methodist Church beginning at 11:00am.
