Claree Richardson Obituary

Ms. Claree Richardson of Bowman South Carolina was born on November 23, 1941. After living a full life, she found eternal and everlasting peace on July 2, 2021. She was the daughter of Jacob and Alberta Cummings. Claree graduated from Bethune Memorial high school in Bowman, SC. She was also affiliated with St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Bowman.
At an early age she had a plan for her life and she followed that plan the best she could. She was a fighter and survivor of everything life threw her way. She was strong-minded and strong-willed. At a young age she left Bowman for the big city, New York, where she worked as a phone operator. Years later, when her children were still young, she moved her family to New Jersey to raise them in a safer environment. Once there, she worked as a Medical Lab Technician. She lived there for many years watching her children grow into fine men; just the way she wanted. She taught her children to follow their own paths in life and most importantly be happy.
And happy she was, watching her children grow up, going on trips, cruises and she loved Barry White. So much so, that one night she stood outside Madison Square Garden trying to find someone selling tickets for his sold-out performance. She also loved to have friends over and they would listen to old school music, dance and have a good time reminiscing about life. She cherished those happy moments.
And she not only cherished her children she also adorned her grandchildren. She was so proud of them that she kept every picture, trinket and memento of them. Every time she spoke about them you can just see the lovingly smile on her face and in her heart for them. Years later, she returned to Bowman, S.C. to retire and live her life to the fullest. And today we send her up to the heavens to live in eternal peace.
Claree was preceded in death by her parents and brothers; Woodrow Cummings, Otis Cummings and Jacob Cummings Jr.
She leaves to cherish fond and endearing memories her three sons: Lester Richard-son of Washington, DC; Jeffrey Richardson of Englewood, NJ; and Andrew Richardson of Bogota, N.J.; two daughters-in-law: Asia Collins Richardson of Bogota, N.J and Clarissa Richardson of Englewood N.J. She also leaves one grandson, Jeffrey Richardson Jr and one granddaughter Zoe Richardson both of Englewood, N.J. Also, a sister Jessie Mae Jones of Bowman, S.C. and a host of relatives and friends.
From our heart to hers, she will never be forgotten but cherished forever.
