Charlie P. Gunter, III was born in Queens, New York to Martha and Charlie Gunter on February 1, 1972.

He graduated from Edisto High School and went on to join the U.S. Navy. There he met his wife of 30 years, Keisha Gunter. He was employed by the City of Chapin as an Assistant Deputy Director.

Charlie and Keisha have two children together, Nia Gunter and Kendell (Esthefany) Gunter. Charlie also has two beautiful granddaughters, Kaeclynn and Kailen Gunter.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father Charlie Gunter, Jr.

Charlie also leaves his mother Martha Gunter and sister Patricia Gunter to cherish his memories. A niece K'yonna Mack and nephew Kodi Mack. He also leave a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends who affectionately refereed to him as "Junior".

Services for Mr. Charlie Powell Gunter III will proceed as follows:

The Viewing will be Friday, June 16, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Glover’s Funeral Home Chapel.

The Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Glover’s Funeral Home Chapel.

Staff and all those attending must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.

Friends may call at Glover’s Funeral Home. The family will receive guests at the residence of his mother, Martha Gunter, 108 Terry Street, Cordova, SC.
