Catherine J. Breaker

Mrs. Catherine J. Breaker of Santee, South Carolina, was born on December 28, 1948 in Santee, SC.  She was granted eternal rest on Tuesday, December 2, 2020 in Orangeburg, SC following an extended illness.

“Dolly”, as she was affectionately known, was the daughter of the late Ralph and Susie Mae Oliver Johnson Stokes.

Dolly was educated through the public schools of Holly Hill, SC, graduating from Roberts High School in 1967.  She was previously employed with US Plywood and Elloree High School.  She was a longtime and faithful member of the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Santee.  She served on the Usher Board for many years and served as the President.  She was also a member of the Queen Victoria Chapter #2 Order of the Eastern Star.  She held many positions to include secretary. 

She is survived by her husband, Joe L. Breaker; one son: Timothy Gamble; six step-children, Kevin, Latonya, Joe Joe, Annette, Keion, and Lakeshia; three grandchildren: Latron (Ashley) Elmore, Latesha Gamble, and Timesha Gamble, four great-grandchildren: Ava Elmore, Ma’Ryah Gamble, Latron Elmore, Jr., and Chance Gamble; two sisters: Vera Sprinkle and Lillie (Harry) McKune; two brother-in-laws: Margin (Minnie) Breaker and Jerome Jenkins; four godchildren: Kenneth (Margaret) Hilliard, Elaine (Bennie) Walker, Yojuana Williams, and Tikenia C. Jenkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Sunday, December 6,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home at 1:00pm until 7:00pm.

The funeral will be held on Moday, December 7,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 1:00pm.
