Carolyn Dianne Brunson Salley Obituary

Mrs. Carolyn Dianne Brunson Salley was born on December 15, 1953, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, to the late Mr. Sam and Mrs. Frizell Amaker Brunson. She passed away on March 28, 2025, at the age of 71, having lived a life full of love, dedication, and resilience.
Dianne graduated from Wilkinson High School in 1971 and went on to have a distinguished career at AT&T, where she worked from June 1972 until her retirement on May 15, 2006.
On October 28, 1973, Dianne was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness at the Dreher High School in Columbia, South Carolina. She devoted her life to teaching others about Jehovah's Kingdom, as expressed in Matthew 24:14. On January 1, 2007, she became a regular pioneer and served faithfully in this capacity, continuing her ministry even through her illness, until her passing.
Dianne found joy in cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. She loved playing cards and dancing, and she had a special fondness for ducks. Known for her caring spirit, Dianne was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, grandmother, aunt, and cousin. Her warmth and kindness significantly impacted the lives of those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
For five years, Dianne bravely battled brain cancer, Glioblastoma, demonstrating incredible strength and resilience throughout her journey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Frizell Brunson; her son, Darius; and two siblings, Sam Brunson and Willie William (WW) Brunson.
Dianne is survived by her loving husband, Hercules Salley; her two children, Renee Salley Webb (married to Kevin) and Darien Salley (married to Kelly); her two grandchildren, Noah Webb and Dianna Webb; her two sisters, Mary Randolph and Vivian Hart (married to Kelvin); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be truly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
