Mr. Bernard Antley, was born July 7, 1963 to the late John Fairey Antley and the late Ruth Alnese Antley. He entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 5, 2020.
Bernard joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age. He graduated from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School with the class of 1981. He had a great love for basketball and horse-shoes. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboy and Clemson Tiger fan. Most of all he was a loving and devoted husband who will be truly missed.
Bernard was preceded in death by his sister Betty Davis Brockington; his brothers: Norris Gene Antley and Willie Clay Antley; and seven aunts and six uncles.
Bernard leaves to cherish fond memories his wife of 37 years, Josephine Watson Antley of the home; six sisters: Bobbie Miles, Bevelyn Ann Davis, Gale Lucille Antley and Albertha Antley (Herman) Brown all of Orangeburg, SC, Ruth Alice Davis Williams of Rowesville, SC, and Shelia Antley (Robert) Counts of Indianapolis, IN; two brothers: Reverend Wilbert (Princess) Davis of Branchville, SC and Deacon John Wesley (Deborah) Antley of Orangeburg, SC; father-in-law: Joseph Watson, Sr., Of Orangeburg, SC; four sisters-in-law: Geneva (William) Yon of Wolfton, SC, Vernell W. (Edgar) Wolfe and Jacqueline Watson both of Orangeburg, SC and Carolyn (Charles) Bookard of Bowman, SC; three brothers-in-law: Joseph L. Watson, Jr., William Watson and Dwayne Watson two aunts: Louise Antley Hennigan of Philadelphia, PA and Nelease Williams of Washington, DC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and dear friends.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Thursday,June 11,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home at 2:00pm until 7:00pm.
A graveside service will be held on Friday,June 12,2020 at Garden of Prayer Church Cemetery 2890 Russell St. Orangeburg,SC 29115 beginning at 11:00am.
