Anthony Henriques Wellington

Mr. Anthony Henriques Wellington, son of the late Hardly Wellington and Gloria Taylor, was born June 25,1957 in Franklin Town, Jamaica. He departed this life on Tuesday,May 28,2020 at the hospital in Texas.

Anthony grew up in Franklin Town and attended Franklin Town and attended Franklin Town Primary School and Vaxuhall High School. He was employed by Machardo Chalk Factory in Jamaica for several years. Anthony's skills as a plumber made him the "Handy Man" of all trades. Before migrating to America, he lived in Nanny Ville Gardens,Jamaica, for 15 years when his hopes for a better life changed his life journey.

While living in America, he met and married the love of his life, Annette Pou. Everyone, who knew Anthony found him to be a caring and devoted family man, who loved his family and friends. 

Anthony is preceded in death by his parents: Heardly Wellington and Gloria Taylor; two brothers: Jerry and Donovan Wellington of Jamaica.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife of the home, Annette Pou Wellington; two sons: Michael Pou of New York City, Mitchell (Martine) Pou of Texas; three daughters: Tonlyna McNair of New York CIty, Joy Pou and Natashia Miller of Texas; a niece and nephew raised in home: Marvin Wellington and Simone Bryan; four grandchildren: Ashia Ellison, Montrell Griffin, Michael Pou III and Tiana Lucas; three brothers: Clive Wellington, Winston Wellington and Michael Wellington, one sister and his caretaker: Sharon Wellington of Texas; mother-in-law Rebecca Johnson of Orangeburg,SC 13 sister-in-laws: Pastor V. Dozier Williams, Maggie Hallman, Christine Walker, Michelle Briggman, Theodora Walker, Shaquira Johnson, Mary(Gary) Brown, Sayyada Johnson of Orangeburg,SC, Phyllis Brown of Columbia,SC; Deloris Walker, Teresa Walker, Patricia Walker and Cherly Williams of New York; one aunt: Joan Walker of New York, two brother-in-laws: Anthony Walker of Florida and Kevin Walker of New York and a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends, who will miss him dearly. 

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Friday,June 5,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home at 1:00pm until 7:00pm.

The funeral services will be held on Saturday,June 6,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 11:00am.
