The Wonderful Annie
She was born on October 20, 1948; to the late West Ables and Evelyn Fogle- Jackson. She departed this life on Friday, February 12, 2021 at the Providence Health Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Annie attended the public schools of Orangeburg County. Annie loved taking care of people as shown when she worked at Stokes Residential and Jolly Restmore.
Annie, was affectionately known as “Sister”; she was a loving mother and confidante. She had a caring heart and would give you her last. She was preceded in death by four siblings; Malachi Zimmerman, Barbara Bowman, Sharon Tyler, Albert Jackson and one grandson; Kendall G. Thomas, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories; her four children; Rosa (Micheal) Simpson; Heyward Thomas; Roselyn Thomas and Joselyn Thomas all of Orangeburg, SC. Four grandchildren; Ikeem Simpson of Orangeburg, SC; Steve (Asante) Pelzer of El Paso, Texas; Wizdem Thomas of Cope, SC, and Malayzia Sistrunk of Orangeburg, SC. Six greatgrandchildren; Kenya Thomas; Dezire Thomas; Jayden Pelzer; Dzyier Simpson; Kendall Thomas; Jr.; and Ava Marie Hawkins. One brother; Charles Ables and three sisters; Linda Howell; Ethel Jackson and Kelly Gardner; one best friend; Florrie Mae Simpson and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Friday, February 19,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home ata 1:00pm until 7:00pm.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 20,2021 at Heavenly Rest Memorial Park 126 Smiley Rd. Cordova,SC 29039 beginning at 11:00am. Services will be streamed live on our Facebook page Glover's Funeral Home of Orangeburg. All those attending graveside must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
