Annie Louise Ritter Obituary

~A Time to Be Born~
Annie Louise Ritter affectionately known as “Marjorie”, was born on April 27, 1938, in Cordova, South Carolina. She was the 3rd child born to the late Cleveland and Louise Miley Frazier.
~A Time to Learn and Work~
Annie attended the public schools of Orangeburg County and graduated from G. W. Carver High School in 1957. She was a dedicated and hard worker with families and businesses.
~A Time to Love~
Annie was married to the late Otis ”Bo” Ritter, Sr. They were blessed with three handsome sons of which one preceded her in death.
~A Time to Worship~
Annie joined the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church at a very early age. She was later baptized in the name of Our Father, His Son and the Blessed Holy Spirit. She served on the Trustee Board, Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent and rendered song services through ministry of the Senior and Gospel Choir. During her time spent in East Palo Alto, California she was a “watch care” member of the True Life Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor J. R. Cookesey. At True Life Missionary she continued to faithfully serve in the following capacities, a Sunday School teacher, sang the choir and as a Deaconess. Upon her return to South Carolina, she continued to serve at her home church.
~A Time to Leisure~
Annie was full of love and laughter. She enjoyed cooking, baking and sharing with other. Her favorite hobby was fishing. In her words, “she was going to put her lines in the water”.
~Cherishing Her Memory~
Ensuring her well lived 88 years of life will not be forgotten are her sons, Antonio Bernard Ritter of Manchester, Rhode Island and Micheal Ritter of Mobile, Alabama. Her grandchildren will remember her fondly: Derek Brandenburg of Atlanta, GA; Lynn Thomas of Orangeburg, SC Roxanne Shonte Ritter of Manchester, Rhode Island; Lekeisha Strong and Shyshiem Prosser. There are 15 great grandchildren who love her dearly. She also leaves her brothers, Herman Frazier, Harold Frazier, Roosevelt (Maggie) Frazier, Alexander (Wanda) Frazier, Sheldon Frazier, Nathaniel Frazier; her sisters Ann (Carey Ryant) and Estelle Johnson. Remembering her fondly are her sister-in-law Charlotte Frazier. Annie also leaves her cousins, nephews, nieces as well as Michelle Brandenberg to remember her in their special way.
~A Time to Reunite~
Annie was welcome into her Father’s kingdom by her son, Otis Ritter, Jr., her parents and stepmother, Cleveland, Louise and Queen Esther, her grandmother Arie, her brothers, Jerry, Charles, Isaac, Wilbur, Artis, James and her sisters Janie Clay, Rebecca, Lillie and Queen Elizabeth.
~A Time for Reward~
Our Lord and Savior Father commanded Annie’s journey on this side with us completed and rewarded with eternal rest on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Pruitt Health System of Bamberg, SC after an extended illness. Annie transitioned peace fully and gracefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched but shall never be forgotten


The service will proceed as follows: 


The viewing will be held on Monday, February 9,2026 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 6:00pm. 


The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 10,2026 at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church 860 b Elder Branch Rd. Cordova, SC beginning at 1:00pm.
