Annette Zeigler Truewell was born on May 31,1928 in Orangeburg, South Carolina to the late Norman and Mae Boyd Zeigler. She entered enteral rest on August 25, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.
Annette attended public schools in Orangeburg County. She was a graduate of Claflin College (University) where she received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and earned a Master's in Education from South Carolina State University. Annette was employed by Orangeburg Consolidated School District Five for more than 30 years. She was reared in a Christian home and joined William Chapel A.M.E. Church at an early age. She was a member of the choir and the Willing Workers Club. Later, she was untied in marriage to John Edward Truewell. To that union one son was born Reginald Bernard Truewell.
Annette Truewell was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Truewell.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories one son Reginald Truewell (Wilma), two granddaughters Renata Elaine Truewell (Chesley), Patrice Alexis Priester (Desmond), one grandson Reginald Maurice Truewell (Amanda), six great-grandchildren Yesme Sarena Abubakar, Harmony Chanel Priester, Courtnee Michelle Priester, Desmond Jaxon Priester, Joshua Maurice Truewell, and Reginald Isaiah Truewell and a host of other relatives and friends.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Monday, August 30,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 31,2021 at Belleville Memorial Gardens beginning at 1:00pm. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
