Almeta Hart Obituary

Ms. Almeta Hart was born on July 23,1949 to the late John and Pearl Hart. On December 16, 2022 God dispatched an angel and called Almeta home to eternal rest. Almeta attended the Bethlem Elementary school and graduated from John Ford High School in Calhoun County. After high school Almeta moved to New York with her oldest sister Dorothy, whom she affectionately called mom. While in New York for many years she worked as a certified nursing assistant. In 1990, Almeta relocated to Orangeburg, SC. Although Almeta did not have any biological children of her own, but many looked to her as their mom. To Know Almeta was to love he. She enjoyed cooking and caring for others. She was a member of the Passion of the cross church. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: John Hart and Joe L. Hart. Almeta leaves to cherish her precious memories four sisters: Dorothy Bynes and Annie Ruth Washington both of Orangeburg, SC, Lugenia (Albert) Smoak and Selesta (Carl) Haynes of St. Matthews, SC; four brothers: Ernest (Mildred) Hart and Marvin (Esther) Hart of both Orangeburg, SC, Daniel Hart and Bobby (Betty) Hart both of Geneva, NY; grandnieces: Katrina Dickson, Monique Bynes of Orangeburg, SC and Brittany Dickson of New York; grandnephews:Terrence Guinyard, Jamel Guinyard, Cody Bynes and Derek Bynes all of Orangeburg, SC and Stephen Dickson of New Jersey; great-grand niece: Jreem Young; great-grand nephews: De'Jaun Keitt, Zion Bynes and Zymir Bynes all of Orangeburg, SC and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.


The service will proceed as follows:


The viewing will be held on Thursday, December 29,2022 at Glover's Funeral Home from 1:00pm until 6:00pm.


The funeral will be held on Friday, December 30,2022 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am. All those attending service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
