Ahmad “Silverback” Muhammad formally known as Dwight Mims was born to Patricia Mims on May 30,1968 in Bronx, NY. He was raised by his grandmother Mildred Mims in Rowesville, SC. On October 30,2023 he was visited by an angel who prepared him for his journey home.
“A Time to Build”
Ahmad attended the public schools of Orangeburg County. He has always been self-employed. He was the owner of Silverback Wholesale and Silverback Auto Sales, providing employment opportunities to many community members and family.
Ahmad was married the love of his life Vickie Curry for 9years.
“A Time to take a Final Journey”
Ahmad proceed in death by his mother: Patricia Mims and grandmother: Mildred Mims.
Ahmad leaves to cherish his fond memories his children: Dion (Rashonda) Fields, George (Kendria) Herring III, Jaquan Copeland, Auhmeer Mims, Ahnazha Muhammad and Karemiah Curry; eight grandchildren: Dionni Fields, De’Nasia Fields, D’Miya Lawerence, Dion Fields, Jr., Rae-Lynn Fields, Isaiahana Hunter, Isaiah Hunter, Sincere Crosby-Hunter; a god-daughter: Arreona Mack; four siblings: Dwayne Mims, Eugene Mims, Darryl Felder and Rodney Houston; a special uncle: Leroy (Rebecca) Mims; a mother-in-law: Beverly Curry; two sister-in-laws: Trina Jeter and Lawanda Curry; two brother-in-laws: Bobby Curry and Thomas Curry; a host of nieces, nephews, business partners, DJ friends and the Big Tyme Ryders that will miss him dearly.
The service will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Sunday, November 5,20223 at Glover's Funeral Home from 2:00pm until 6:00pm.
The funeral will be held on Monday, November 6,2023 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am. All those attending the service must wear a mask and adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
