Shy’Heem Baker, known as “Biscuit” to his family, was the son of Shermanita Baker and Terry Elliott, was born on December 18, 1998 in Orangeburg, SC at the Regional Medical Center. He departed this earthly life on June 27, 2019.
Shy’Heem was a very happy, humble and high-spirited young man that loved all of his family dearly. At an early age Shy’Heem accepted Christ into his life at Mt. Olive AME Church. He attended Will Lou Grey Academy Military School in Columbia, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother: Carmen Yvette Baker and his paternal grandfathers: Frank Jackson and Umysees Glover.
Shy’Heem leaves to cherish his loving memories his parents Shermanita Baker and Terry Elliott; his sister: Karmyn Shivers; brothers: Rashard Davis and Travis Jayce Elliott; grandparents: Shirley and Walter Sumpter fo Santee, SC, Clarence Driver of Orlando, FL, and Una Jackson of Bowman, SC; aunts: Angela Sumpter and Theresa Sumpter both of Santee, SC, Natasha Baker of Eutawville, SC, Keneshia Way of Vance, SC, Charity Elliott of Holly Hill, SC and Shalandra Baker of Ashville, AL; uncles: Walter (Latisha) Sumpter of Clarksville, TN, Calvin Myers of NC, Travis (Rhonda) Elliott of Bowman, SC, Zachary Walker of Orlando, FL and Anthony (Charlene) Elliott of FL; one niece: Kennadi Namoi Johnson; special friend: Viondra Brown of Cross, SC and a host of loving cousins and friends. Special recognition goes to Dewaine Shivers and family.
The funeral service will be held Mt. Olive AME Church located at 4630 Old School State Rd in Holly Hill, South Carolina on Saturday, June 6, 2019 beginning at 1:00pm.
