Shelli Darcelle Mack Fields was the second born of “Twin Girls”
to Oscar C. and Essie H. Mack, born on January 6, 1962 in Brooklyn,
New York. She gained her wings peacefully at home on Friday,
November 22, 2019.
Shelli was educated at Felton Laboratory School (South Carolina
State College (University), 1980 graduate of Orangeburg Wilkinson
High School, attended South Carolina State College (University), went
on to become an honor graduate of Orangeburg Calhoun Technical
College with an Associate Degree in Accounting, Claflin University
with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management, and
Webster University with a Masters Degree in Human Resources.
Shelli was employed as an accountant at South Carolina State
University, South Carolina State Department of Transportation and
the South Carolina Department of Commerce. She retired from the
State of South Carolina after 28 years of service.
Shelli joined Butler Chapel AME Church at an early age, New Mt.
Zion Baptist Church and Kingdom Life Ministries where she received
her calling to the ministry under the leadership of Overseer James L.
Rowson, Jr.
Shelli was preceded in death by her brother: Clifton David Alfred
Mack; maternal grandparents: Alfred and Lula Bell Houser and pater-
nal grandparents: Fred and Freda Mack.
Shelli is survived by her loving son: Jay Kelvin Fields, Jr.; her twin
sister Sherri (Paul) Darnette Mack Robinson; two brothers: Kelvin O.
(Deshun) Mack and Christopher (Teresa) L.T. Mack and a grandson:
LaMir Tru Jay Fields all of Orangeburg, SC; sisters-in-law: Katherine
Andrade-Mack of Atlanta, GA and DeShun Mack of Houston, TX;
her best friend: Reggie Elliott, two nephews, a host of nieces, aunts,
uncles, cousins, and numerous dedicated and devoted friends.
The services will proceed as follows:
The viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Glover's Funeral Home at 1:00pm until 8:00pm.
The funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Kingdom Life Ministries located at 1172 Orangeburg Mall Cir. in Orangeburg, South Carolina 29115 beginning at 11:00am
