Pearl Fraizer-Rickenbaker Obituary

Mrs. Pearl Lee “Tussy” Rickenbaker was born on October 31, 1944 to the late Emma Julia Frazier and the late Willie Samuel Zeigler. She received her wings on Friday, October 4, 2019 after an extended illness.
Pearl was born and raised in the Cope and Cordova communities. She attended the G. W. Carver School of Cope, SC. She was a dedicated member of the Emanuel A. M. E. Church of Cope, South Carolina. She was a member of the Trustee Board, served on the Missionary Board, sang on both the Gospel and Senior choirs until her health declined.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Landis Rickenbacker, Jr., two daughters: (infant) Shirley Ann Rickenbacker and Deloris Frazier Bovain; seven sisters: Eartha Harden, Inez Frazier, Josie Lou Maxwell, Oletha Frazier, Beatrice Williams, Arrie Lue Jerry and Julia May Frazier; six brothers: Earnest Frazier, Sr., Wilbur Frazier, Joe Lewis Frazier, Samuel Frazier, Shelton Frazier and Woodrow Franklin, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted daughter: Mrs. Dorothy Rickenbaker Ballen of Cordova, SC; three grandchil- dren: Shatari Ballen, Gabriel Ballen and Raynard Ballen all of Cordova, SC; seven great-grands: Makye Ballen, Rayshawn Ballen, Peyton Ballen, Desten Ballen, Wayne Scott, Zy’arihya Scott and Serenity Scott; three children reared in the home: Dener Franklin, Jerry Franklin, and Brittany Pearson; one loving brother: Clarence (Earnestine) Frazier of Orangeburg, SC; three sisters-in-law: Julia Rickenbaker Simpson of Cordova, SC, Bessie (Harry) Shuler of Cordova, SC and Diane Butler of Columbia, SC; a special close friend: Earnestine Thomas of Orangeburg, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 
 

 

The services will proceed as follows:

 The viewing will be held at Glover’s Funeral Home on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 12:00pm until 8:00pm. 
the funeral service will be held at Emmanuel AME Church on Friday, October 11,2019 located at 1897 Hudson Road in Cope, SC 29038 beginning at 2:30pm.
