Michael Richardson

TRUSTEE MICHAEL RICHARDSON was born July 24, 1966 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He was the only
child of Letha Keitt Richardson and the late Richard Richardson.
Michael accepted God at an early age and was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. As a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, he was a member of Ward One, Usher Ministry, the Security Team, the Men’s Ministry, the Pastor’s Armor Bearer and served faithful as a member of the Trustee Ministry.
Michael attended the public schools of Orangeburg and was a graduate of Orangeburg-Wilkinson, Class of 1984. While at Orangeburg-Wilkinson Michael was a member of the Bruin Pride Band and performed as a Drum Major. He also attended Claflin University.
Michael chose a career in security which he loved throughout his career. He worked with DTH Security and was currently employed at Claflin University until his death.
Michael departed this life on Thursday, September 26, 2019 while serving his shift (doing what he loved).
Left to cherish fond and loving memory include his beloved and devoted mother Letha Richardson of the home; four aunts: Lizzie (Marion) William, Bernice (Elder Daniel) Butler, Mildred Starkes, and Richard Mae Tyler all of Orangeburg, South Carolina; his God-Children: Rodarica Davis, Autheria Dantzler, and Marcus Reed; grand-God-Children: Kamron Ryant, Kyree Ryant, and Kamoria Ryant; his first cousins who to him being an only child was like his brothers and sister; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends who loved him dearly: Rita Carol Huggins and his Godparents: Mrs. Rosa Lee Huggins, Cynthia Spigner, Frances Stroman, Minnie Dantzler, Barbara Gamble, and Eartha Bailey.

Services will proceed as follows:

 The viewing will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Glover’s Funeral Home at 1:00pm until 8:00pm. 

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church located at 310 Green Street in Orangeburg, SC beginning at 1:00pm
