McCoy Wright

Mr. McCoy “Coy” Wright was taken into God’s loving arms to be with the angels on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at The Regional Medical Center.

Born November 2, 1942, “Coy” as he was affectionately called, was the son of the late Vester and Claretha Wright.

Coy loved to make people laugh and smile. He retired from the Orangeburg Department of Public Utilities after working there for over 35 years.

Loved ones that has proceeded him in death were his parent, Vest and Claretha Wright; sisters, Carrie Middleton and Laura Anderson and a brother, John Wright.

Coy leaves behind to cherish his fondest memories, the love of his life, his wife of fifty years, Dorothy Wright; his devoted brother Edward (Dr. Ella) Wright of Orangeburg, SC; his caregivers/special nieces Michylle (Eric) Greene and Jessica Middleton; caregiver/special nephew Jayson Middleton all of Orangeburg, SC. He also leaves nephews; ICC,USN Retired Warren (Ebony) Wright of Suffolk, VA, Johnathan (Kizzy) Middleton of Orangeburg, SC. Nieces, Kia Anderson of Stamford, CT, Tiffany (Brian) Randall of Rock Hill, SC and Edrian Wright of Orangeburg, SC; his little sunshine’s, Jerelle Keller, Jhaniya “NaNa” Middleton, Eric and Erron Greene all of Orangeburg, SC; brother-in-law, Alvin D. Anderson of Stamford, CT; sisters-in-law, April Wright and Sallie Carter of Orangeburg, SC and Louie Mae Glover of New York, NY. A very special friend Clay Trymus of Orangeburg, SC. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
