Elease E Robinson

Elease Mays Robinson was born on June 27, 1941 in Bowman, SC to the late Anderson H Mays and Minnie Garvin Mays.

Elease was a graduate of Bethune Memorial High School. After school, she relocated to New York and then to Jersey City, NJ. In Jersey City, she met and married Shellie Robinson, Sr. Elease worked various jobs while raising her family.

Mrs. Robinson returned to South Carolina in 1980. She was employed with DBK Inc until her retirement.

Elease was preceded in death by her parents, sister Hycena Moody and Verneli Washington and her son Melvin Robinson.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husbnad, Shellie Robinson, Sr. Her children, Priscilla (Leroy), Shellie (Clary), Audrey (Kenneth), Bernard (Albertine), Melva, Ivy, Douglas, Dwayne, Sharon and Jermaine. Her siblings, Nettie C. Brooks, Etta (James) Scott, Clarence Mays, John (Salley) Mays, Jimmy (Jetty) Mays and Jessie Mays and in-laws, Booker T (Gladys) Robinson, Irene Johnson and aunt Alma (Loraine) Garvin. Twenty-four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins and friends. Also a special friend Belinda Brown.

Services will be held as follows:

The viewing will be held at Glover's Funeral Home on Friday, March 8, 2019 form 12:00pm until 8:00pm.

The funeral service will be held at Pineville U.M. Church located at 1808 Winter Creek Rd in Bowman, South Carolina 29018 on March 9, 2019 at 12:00pm.
