Clarence Nathaniel Douglas, also known as “NaNa” to family and friends, was born on September 2, 1974 to late Harry Douglas and Ruby Garrick Douglas in Brooklyn, New York where he was raised. NaNa was called home to eternal glory on Thursday, September 19, 2019.
Clarence was the baby of seven children. He loved living in the country. He liked the freedom of country living. The great outdoors was home for him. There was a special feeling of one with nature. Clarence loved fishing and outdoor living. He was very good with his hands and there really wasn’t much he could not do. He enjoyed helping and making others happy.
Clarence was preceded in death by his father, Harry Douglas and his brother, Harry Douglas, Jr.
He is survived by his mother: Ruby G. Douglas; one son: Larnell D. Douglas; three daughters: Shana Douglas, Asia Douglas and Shaneish Douglas all of Brooklyn, New York; three sisters: Beverly (Abraham) Blyther of Cordova, South Carolina, Frances Govan and Cynthia Douglas both of Brooklyn, New York; two brothers: Cecil B. Douglas of Neeses, South Carolina and Michael T. Douglas of Rosedale, New York; one uncle: Ernest (Mary) Frazier of Brooklyn, New York; two aunts: Evelyn (Ronald) Frazier of Cope, South Carolina and Bennie M. Ginyard of Jamaica, New York; God-mother: Mary L. Wright of Cope, South Carolina and a host of other relatives and friends.
The viewing will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Glover's Funeral home from 1:00pm until 8:00pm.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00am.
