Brian Sherard Craft, son of Ira Lee Craft,Sr., and the late Sadie Mae Dawkins Craft departed this life on Sunday, January 12,2020.
Brian was born September 24,1974 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. He attended Felton Laboratory School on the campus of South Carolina State University from pre-school until eight grade and he attended and garduated from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in 1991. Brian excelled in academics and later showed his muiscal talents as first chair snare drummer while becoming a member of O-W Marching Band. Brian enjoyed riding motorcycles, computers and computer games, communicating and socializing with others. Brian's overwhelming personality gained him many friends and associates. His warm and loving temperament was very sensitive to other people's needs as he would give the shirt off his back to help others. Brian loved to tease people and make them laugh. He was employed in Orangeburg School District-Five for approximately three years. Brian entered the United States Navy and served approximately ten years until his discharge.
He was preceded in death by his oldest sister, Audrey V. Craft Buskey of Orangeburg,SC.
Brian is survived by his daughter, Unique Riddley of Norfolk,VA; two brothers, Anthony(Janice) Craft of Irmo,SC; Ira(Debra) Craft,Jr. of St. Mary's,Georgia; and one sister, Willerdine Blue of Duluth,Georgia; two granddaughters Lailah Riddley and Lanyia Anderson of Norfolk,VA; two nieces, Janika Craft of Decatur,Georgia and Audrey(Derek)Webb of Temecula,California; two nephews, Brandon Craft of St.Mary's,Georgia and Allen Buskey of Savanna,Georgia, three grand nieces, two grandnephews and host of loving family members and friends.
The service will proceed as follows:
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 20,2020 at Glover's Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 a.m.
